Checked-In for ReviewMichelle,
I made the following revisions directly on the help site for this doc:
When a User edits a file, Joomla changes the file's status to "Checked Out". The file is locked and only the
User user who has checked it out can modify it. This is a security feature that prevents two
Users users from editing a document at the same time, thus preventing
the loss of data upon saving.
A Content Item remains "Checked Out" until the user clicks 'Save' or 'Cancel' while editing it. Once saved, the Content Item is "Checked In". However, if there's a connection error, such as when the user presses the browser's Back icon, or the user chooses another menu item without saving or canceling the work in progress, the Content Item remains "Checked Out." This means no one can edit it. If users report that they are unable to edit or access an item, verify the item's availability by looking in the Section, Category, or Item file list. If the item is labeled "Checked Out", an Administrator will make the item available again by performing a Global Checkin.
Global Checkin will unlock all Content Items currently "Checked Out." It can only be performed by an Administrator.
To perform a Global Checkin, select System > Global Checkin from the Administrator toolbar. After performing the Global Checkin, Joomla returns a list showing how many items, and from which tables, were checked back in.
WARNING: Performing a Global Checkin while documents are open for editing may result in data loss. All checked out items will be checked in and any unsaved changes will be lost.
System Info:
The System Info page provides detailed information about the system where your Joomla site is deployed. This includes version information for the site Operating System (OS), My SQL, PHP, Web server, and Joomla. It also includes the relevant PHP settings.
It is good practice to post system information along with bug reports or support requests to the Joomla forums.
The system information can be accessed by selecting 'Help' from the Administration Menu, then 'System Information' from the Index list. The above section completely in green was only changed a little, such as a added "the" here and there and I un-capalitized a few things that did not need to be capalitized.
Let me know if there is anything else here you would like to change.
The
changelog has been updated.
Thank you,
Charles
