Dear all,

I can embed single flv and swf using Allvideo extension 2.3 without problem. But Camtasia Studio always produces a lot other files like css. html, xml. swf. gif and js with the FLV it produced, these other files are player controller files for play, pause, ffw, time remaining, some are reloader files and some are just logo and hot spot definition.

Where should I upload these files? images/stories/videos?
How do I embed them in the wysiwyg editor?

A typical project files produced are as follow

cam4test.flv
cam4test.html
cam4test_config.xml
cam4test_controller.swf
cam4test_nofp_bg.gif
cam4test_preload.swf
cam_embed.js
FlashTemplate.css
ProductionInfo.xml
swfobject.js

And the content of cam4test.html is like this

      Created by Camtasia Studio 4

The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript to be enabled and the  latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player. If you are you using a browser with JavaScript disabled please enable it now. Otherwise, please update your version of the free Flash Player by downloading here.

I think if I know the correct place to upload all these files and copy and paste the content of this cam4test.html into the html part of my article. I should be able to embed the FLV. The problem is I don't know either one. Please teach me.

I tried to upload all files into images/stories/videos like what I did with Allvideo plug-in. It doesn't work? Is there any suggestion, please?

you need to include the 2 script calls

into the index.php of your template (making sure path to files is correct relative to this index.php, means if you leave as is, these files need to be in the template folder next to index.php!)

then, in the cdata part, you must adjust all paths, preferably to the full url (or to the images/stories/videos folder), to the xml & swf files!

it's all always only path problems to files, check the sources of the joomla page to make sure it looks for the files in the correct location!

OK, I followed all your procedure, after insert all path in the cddata part, I insert the whole html from right after to into the content as html.

There are two problems:

1 What to do with the and tag? I think there is already tag in Joomla, I should not add one more pair.
2 the // right before
Thank you in advance.

Thank you eyezberg, the zip file is at http://www.empower.hk/test/123.zip

Your email is hidden in Joomla and I have visited your blogspot and Flash News site but unable to find an address. Thanks again and looking forward to hear your good news.

p.s. I learn a lot at your Joomla 1.5 blogspot and installed it immediately, It will be fantastic if you can make it works in Joomla 1.5 also.
