I could have sworn I saw a switch somewhere to define whether content items, category listings etc. showed the real name or username of the author when you choose to display the aouthor.  All I can find now are show/hide options.

Can you set authors globally to show username?

I played around with using alias but it doesn't really work for me since I'd like to use things like the sort function on the Table-Content Category.  The alias doesn't have any affect on that.

If there is no global setting is there a local setting or hack?
