Everything else is working but not adding any users, then this problem arrives.

i have had phpBB2 installed but uninstalled as it sucked IMO, i needed something easier, like a lite version.

If anyone can help i will appreciate it.

I cant even find mos_user, but on the other hand i dont know where it is among the files.

I would like to have it fresh and working.

As there are only 1 user, same as super admin inside the mambo system

again please help if you can

I can't really help you directly except to share with you a find that I made this evening regarding the mos_users table.

There are two additional fields in the Joomla 1.0.4 datastructure than in my Mambo 4.5-1.0.9 datastructure. (I'm about to upgrade my site.) The two additional fields are:
- activation
- params

Perhaps you have something looking for the activation field and not finding it, or not expecting it.

Have you migrated from an earlier version of Mambo/Joomla?
Are you using a component that has not been updated for J-1.0.4?

Just suggestions to get you thinking. Report back what you find.

looks you changed something in your registration.html.php or registration.php. The
is causing the issue. that thing must be deleted. Did you added text or something in your login form? If yes remove it and redo without using "enter" Re-upload the two mentioned files to your directory and try again.

if not post again and we look further

Leo

Hi,

Actually, the solution is pretty simple (I pulled out alot of hair before I discovered this). Here are the steps to fix the problem.

1) Go to PhpMyAdmin. Delete all of your PHPBB components
2) Go to jos_users--delete it
3) Go to jos_users_backup, click on it, export it to your desktop naming it jos_users
4) Import it to into PhpMyAdmin

From there, I believe it should work.

Let me know how it works our for you.

;D THX! It works great!!!!!!

Make sure to be logged in to Joomla Backend when doing this!

This procedure erased everyone of my users, including the super-admin. I had to register a new one!
