Not as part of mambo/joomla as far as I'm aware.  Probably wrong though since every time I say I've never seen it, it pops up as the most common thing around. Hope so for you.

Could wrap your current solution...

I wrapped around php auction. I think it could be integrated so that it would use the user table, but I didn't have the inclination to do it. Unfortunately, at least in my case, the fantastico version was very out of date. To get the current version you need to pay and I was really annoyed to find many problems with it.

Have not found a normal auction component for Joomla/Mambo.
This is what I have found so far:

Demos:  Demo-Tupinambis  Demo-Equipment4

eBay Editor Kit  Sep 2005 New!
Affiliates can display up to 200 eBay listings that are dynamically updated in real-time. Additionally, affiliates are able to customize each Editor Kit by specifying the search results set and the format to match the content and look of your Web site.

eBay Editor Kit (EK) home

Old FREE eBay component from the infamous xxxx-xxxxx
Display your eBay listings on your web site.
Anyone know where to download the file?  Please send me the file if you have it.

I did a deep research about Mambo/Joomla auctions module or similar one but I don´t found anything. However, there is a component for auctions in e-commerce for Drupal. http://www.drupal.org and I´m working with Mambo and Drupal in the same w-site... try it.

Best of Lucks / ;-D

Un-freaking believable.

1. This person is looking for a component, not your non-Joomla-driven auction site.

2. Advertising is not permitted in these forums.

3. You are selling the default Joomla template for $10 on your auction site.

4. You are selling a out-of-the-box 100% Joomla web site for $200 on your auction site.

Sending notification to the forum moderator regarding this advertising.
Sending notification to the JoomlaForge admin regarding your phony project which is nothing but advertising.

See screenshot of the web site below.

Sorry , but this no my web site and I'm related with these site, I simply saw the project in developer.joomla.org and thought about helping to another user.  :(

I always thought that it was a demonstration of the component, but apparently, according to kenmcd, it mistakes to me...

If the site was a demonstration of a component that answer is yes. Unfortunatly since the first link was not a valid link it was taken off and since the second link is a commerical site that is not joomla based and is false to make it sound it is...that links was also taken off.

Also I am unsure why you are selling a templae that comes defaulty with Joomla. I frankly think this is just not a good thing....not going to place a link...but im sure you know what im talking about.

Thanks and please take this as a warning.

I know exactly who was responsible and it doesn't look like zo23,

I sent the details privately to certain parties, as the people involved have also been doing some other not-exactly-kosher work around the community

As for com_ebay, I'll see if I have it in my collection of M/J! stuff before I leave for my weekend away.. 8)

Got it. Got it working, just added a default value for the switch statement but unfortunately the translation isn't complete yet. I'm no italian or spanish so I don't have an idea what some of those words being used inside the code. Is anyone on the development of tupinambis monitoring this?

I could really use an auction component.  I see that this thread hasn't been posted to in quite some time but I figure its worth a shot.  Most of the links here are broken, have any of you had any luck with finding an auction component that works directly with Joomla?

The owner of a web site using com_ebay was kind enough to ZIP it and send it to me.
File is attached.

The com_ebay thing is pretty easy to find on its own.  Thanks for trying to help out but what I'm looking for is a way to have private auctions amongst my members.

Hi

Is there anyone that found a suitable auction component for Joomla/Mambo?

I’m also looking for a private auction component. I’m not a “coder” but can help with testing and translations?

Hi Everyone,

I've come across a reverse auction component before. I do not know how it is progressing - Last I've seen it, it still doesn't have a useful administrator functions.

Anyways, The component's name is Tupinambis. Please try to search for the homepage link at this forum.

Actually I've seen that too.  What is a "reverse auction?"

I've also asked that before and for those who've been wondering what a reverse auction is check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_auction

Currently there is no component that intergrates into Joomla for Auction software.

http://www.phpauction-gpl-2.51.auctionc ... /index.php

This is something I have thought about purchasing...but then agian my auction project has fallen through so i have given up on the search for it.

Well this isn't commercial advertising on my part but here goes:

http://www.Mamboassistance.com has a few components that can also solve the delima with auctions. It is really the only auction like component that I have come across that works.

Enjoy!

We did set up a demo auction site based on joomla
http://auctions.thefactory.ro
The component is not yet released, but this is a fully functional sneak preview.
