Could you maybe move back this topic: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,176696.0.html into "Q&T not Resolved" and reconsider?

IMO it's not fixed...

We don't consider this a bug. If you want to change the behavior of the system you could consider writing a system plugin that does this for you.
