To get back to the subject on documentation, what is wrong with the documentation that has been made, which is published on this site in the 15 section?

There is nothing really wrong with it other than it is outdated. It was created for the BETA and some things have changed, also unfortunately, it was created under a restrictive license it cannot be updated.

A new template tutorial will have to be created, and it is great that an initiative has been taken to ask the community as a whole to contribute to the new one, and keep it updated.

I split out the posts regarding the Blank Template provided by Waseem.  Hopefully it will bring clarity to both discussion threads.    :)

There is the blank 1.5 template which is stickied at the top of this forum and there is the pure css template tut located here: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic ... msg1020390

There is also ongoing tutorial and documentation being written by the documentation team for the help.joomla.org site.

There is a plethora of information contained in the the posts in the forum, and there is also the 1.5 Template contest entries that you can look at and learn from .  (contest entries is their own forum near the top of the main forum entrance page)

Hey, I was wondering if there are any nice Joomla 1.5 tutorials in print form like a word doc for the clients we build these for?

For instance I don't need to go over how to set up the site, or edit the css, etc. But a simple tutorial for editing content, publishing stories, adding media, etc. Mostly basic stuff.
