[not a bug ] Fatal Error on editing a plugin

Postby mcsmom on Fri Nov 16, 2007 12:12 am

Build 9353

When I attempt to edit a plugin, I get this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class jfilteroutput in http://xxxxx/testsite/administrator/ind ... k=edit&cid[]=20

It looks to me like what happened is this:

right now in the libraries/joomla/filter folder there are 4 files

filteroutput.php
filterinput.php
output.php
input.php

The file pairs are identical. filteroutput.php=output.php  and filterinput.php=input.php

the ones with filter in their names were created more recently, 10/19

@9233 johan added the ones prefixed filter and deleted the ones prefixed output, but i still had them because I just over wrote.

Could we start a sticky with a list of folders that have to have files deleted? Because this is the second time I had this happen and I'm sure  reports are coming from other people for similar reasons.

This was something that J-M requested a while back and Chris Davenport gave a response but I cannot find the thread - one of them I am sure will be able to however :)

No, just eliminate the extra files.

Agreed, I just deleted the libraries directory before copying in the later build and the problem was gone.

At the time I had not seen these posts about this.

The sticky is a good idea :)

Sorry, did not see this post.

Issue was at that time to make a diff between 2 different releases and post a list of files to take off absolutely because we were not aware if there were or not vulnerabilities in them.
