Hi, I'm Matheus, I'm 15 years old and I'm from Brazil.
I will translate part of the Installation Manual to Brazilian Portuguese.

First of all, I want to know somethings, to start my work:

Where can I put the translated pages of the Installation Manual?
To complete the task I need to translate the 4 parts listed at GHOP of the Manual?

Thank You!

Hello There.

I've translated the first page, "Minimum Systems Requirements", but I've been that in a simple text editor, and I don't know how can I pass this for complete this part of work.

I'll be very pleased if someone could help me with this.

Thank you.

Welcome to Joomla! Matheus -

We prefer you submit your work using Open Office Writer .odt format. It is freely available open source software that is available for many platforms.

You can upload your draft into your Google Task thread, using the comments, then link to that thread when you want the community to review your work.

Please feel free to ask additional questions or for assistance you might require. We are here to help you. Translating various documentation is very important to our global community. Your efforts are much appreciated.

Also, it is a good idea to read the thread GHOP Contestants Please Read: Task Process Start to Finish, which will help you to understand the process we need to follow with the contest.

Thank you!
Amy :)

Hi Mattheus,

Andy Wallace wrote a very good style guide for documentation.
Although you are translating, it might come in handy to know about the rules of documentation.

I wil send you a PM with the zipped up pdf file.

Good Luck,

Thank you Amy, I use Open Office here, then it's easy for me write the translation in .odf format.  ;)
I will upload the completed parts to Google and post here to get interested people to review this.

Thank you Pieter for send me the Visual Style Guide.

Well, I've finished the first part of my task, the translated file is attached at my last message on Google Tasks at this link:
http://code.google.com/p/google-highly- ... %20Summary
This file contains the part of the Minimum System Requirements.

If someone can review this I will be very pleased for.
Matheus.

Oh!
Amy.

I just saw that you put the link for "Google Task" linking to Task 102, my task is Task 120.
Can I change this or I wait for your change?

Matheus.

Thanks Matheus for noticing that - I have corrected the link.

We are looking for someone who can review your translation into Brazilian Portuguese.

Thanks!
Amy :)

I'm afraid I do need to close this task. Tomorrow is the last day people can claim tasks and we do want to see the Joomla! installation Guide translated into as many languages as possible.

Matheus - I know life gets busy and I hope you are well. Thanks for joining with us and please visit, again.

Take care!
Amy :)
