Hello,

i created a static content and created a link in the mainmenu and that works very well. than i wanted to create a new static content and ich created an other link in the mainmenu but thist one doesn't work.
You have to be logged in, if you want to read that one, but everythink is on "public" and i can't unterstand what's the problem, can you help me??

Thanks!!

fischli

PS: Hallo,

----------------------------------

i'm not that sure about this, but after i read some posts about this issue and tried things,
i came up to the possible solution, to set back the creation and publishing date property
for about one day each.
[ that should solve the problem with static content items that want you to be logged in
before you're allowed to view them even if those items are marked 'public'. ]

I had more or less the same problem with .12.  Out of the blue my public static content that was not linked to a menu and it began giving the "not authorized" message.  I had been using a suite of static pages containing the {rdaddphp} bot to call other static pages containing other components and everything worked fine.  The URL's I was using were the pre-seo type so that I could pass parameters in the URL from the rsForme component.  Sounds complicated but it all worked great and then without warning everything started delivering the "not authorized" message.  On a hunch I linked one of the static pages to a dummy menu so that it would be associated with an itemid.  I then added the extra parameter tp the pre-seo URL to specify the itemid (&itemid=xx) and the pages presented themselves.  The seo URL can't be used in this instance since you can't pass a parameter at the end.  For instance, .../view/55/99/ can't be changed to .../view/55/99/¶m=Monday.  Instead you have to use .../index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=55&Itemid=99¶m=Monday works just fine.
