hi there,

iam a total newbee to joomla/mambo - so i installed a fresh version, got the fish working, everything is fine ....nearly....i use slovenian language - installed properly - but the translation does not show the čžš..properly - instead it shows little squares...
i inserted some of these signs in a standard joomla/mambo page showing on firstpage and it worked fine - so i think this is a problem with the fish.

in the language config of mambel is inserted utf-8 - also tried something else as si, sl_si, and so on.

can anyone help please !

In order to work, you will need to install the correct french and slovenian joomla language files.

The charset is defined in de mambo language file (slovenian.php and french.php) .
the location of these language files : /language

look for a line like :  DEFINE('_ISO','charset=iso-8859-1');  in both language files to see if the charset is the correct one for the language.
I'm not sure what the iso set is for slovenian.

i edited the slovenian.php to charset utf-8 and i works.
