[IN PROGRESS] - Safemode VERY important for many users

Hi there.

Here in Denmark nearly all cheaper hosting providers use safemode = on!
Therefore it is critical that a safemode patch is developed for Joomla - as soon as possible.
I would even suggest that it was included as a standard feature to turn on/off.

Just today I had to tell 2 clients not to use Joomla yet - because of safemode issues. Big problem. It means we cant use the new Joomla yet - and we really want to!

Maybe its not a problem elsewhere - but please respect this problem to be of the seriuos kind.
Or, another solutions, help create hacks, workarounds and such to help safemode = on problems.

Also, let us danes know if we are the only nationality with this boring problem...

This is good news! A safe mode patch is critical for a lot of former mambo users.

The patch is on the tracker. Work on it will be started soon. I will keep this thread open for further discussion

The "newest" version of Joomla safe mode patch was 1.011, also working with 1.012 (tested). Few days ago, I've posted a link to download here, so search a little, and you'll find the download link. It's among my latest 10-15 posts. If you couldn't find it, I'll post it again.
