I would like to take this opportunity to voice my willingness to help build a repository for project-related files.

This continues to be a great interest of mine and is a space that I think I could contribute a lot. I will quote myself from another unnamed forum:

I like Mozilla's UI for Firefox Extensions and Winamp's system for finding Plug-ins. They both have a heavy focus on user feedback in their display with similar emphases on number of downloads and user reviews/comments/ratings. They both also have a strong reliance on a categorization system by function/features. Winamp's use of "Top Staff Rated" is an important section. Official approval of some sort goes a long way in keeping standards high.

I would like to encourage a discussion about what systems are available and what their pro's and con's are. These might include GForge and Trac.

I think GForge showed promise, but must admit I don't know too much about these systems :)

I wanted to trust Miro, but never fully could. I do, however, fully trust the core team.

Well MystaMac, you have come to the right place!  8)

To be honest, we have been using gforge for the duration of MamboForge, and it has some advantages and disadvantages.

We've also looked at the open source release of SourceForge, as well as Savannah.

I suppose they all have their pros and cons, and all have support for subversion (which we are all looking forward to using in the future). The decision is right around the corner, and yesterday I begged for 24 hours to get a solution and I am still waiting for a phone call  :-\

So this time I humbly ask for 12  ;D

Popping open a Dr. Pepper...

Oh, yes, gsbe! The Firefox add-on's feedback method is great. We could really use that.
