Hello!

Joomla is in fact the new Mambo; or let's put it this way ... it is the reincarnation of Mambo.

Mambo CMS project was originally started by this company called Miro in Australia, later on the source code was released as Open Source and a over time a development team was formed around this project.

In the last few Month Miro introduced the Mambo foundation and started placing restrictions, and controls over the project. Since it is an Open Source community based project the development team and some members of Mambo Community forked the project and Joomla was borned. Please consider what is there today as mambo 4.5.* or Joomla are mostly the work of community and Core Development team, not Miro.

I personally prefer Joomla, over mambo because it is truly open source, multi-cultural and all the original Mambo core development team are now in the Joomla development team. Besides I see more activity going on Joomla and I like the direction this project is going as a whole. I have more positive experience with this community, so I have Migrated all my recent CMS projects to Joomla.

I don't know how those dynamics work for Joomla Farsi version, I don't have any activities in that area, so other members of this Forum could have a better insight on that.

I've also never heard of a Regular, and Pro version of either Mambo, or Joomla.

I hope that helped

:)
