Is there a Korean translation in the works? I'm not able to help work on that team (since I am not fluent in Korean) but I run a web site which could definitely benefit from having a Korean translation. |

Hello, I don't know of any team created to take care of the Korean language, nor do I see any project on Forge. It would definitely be positive if any volunteer was showing here to work on this. Regards |

Hello, I am developing a bilingual site which will feature English and Korean on the Joomla platform. I suppose I can release the language package to the community without too much trouble when we've got it finished and well proofed. The project is for an ESL group currently working in South Korea. If you would like to assist and speed up this translation you can send an eMail to webmaster@cutieprogrammer.com and we will assign you a section of the file to complete and resubmit. All translations will be on a volunteer basis and will receive full credit alongside the relevant sections in the released package. Enjoy your day! |

I'm also interested in the Korean language pack for a personal site and also possibly (for a seperate project) for the ESL community in South Korea. |

Hi, infograf, infograf768 wrote: Most recent Korean language files are here. Soon to be updated. http://forge.joomla.org/sf/frs/do/listR ... rs.pkg2839 I can't go to this page. Has the old forge been shut down? Has the Korean translation been moved to the new forge? I can't find it in the new forge either. Wai |

Sorry for having been away for a long time. I had many personal problems. Please accept my apology. I can work on Joomla now but I am going to focus on ver. 1.5 files. I already had 1.5 alpha files on forge but I am going to work on 1.5 beta files from scratch. Thanks. |

Thank you all for your replies. The old forge has been up again. I've downloaded the old Korean translation there and installed in Joomla 1.0.12 together with JoomFish, both traditional and simplified Chinese. All languages are in UTF-8. It seems working fine. |

Korean language forge has been updated. I rearranged files links so that you can browse files easier. Just uploaded Korean language files for ver. 1.0.12 including UTF-8 and eucKR. The one on the forge is 1.5 beta dated 12 October 2006. Working on the current Joomla! 1.5 beta.

I have a test site up in Joomla 1.5 RC1 with the Korean Language pack downloaded from the forge. http://www.yiimage.com/j15RC Thanks for the translation! opiokane I'm having one issue. The language doesn't seem to work in legacy mode. Is this suppose to be this way? Also I'm currently having issues with the IE7 and IE6. The web page crashes with this error message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I don't think it is Korean language specific problem though. |

There were already quite a few changes in last 1.5 trunk. I suggest you reinstall a nightly build. http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/17/60/ and test first without the Korean pack (which IMO should have no impact as described). |

The language file on the forge is based on 7/18/2007 nightly build. |

Just installed a joomla 1.5 nightly build on a new testing site http://www.yiimage.com/j15rc01 The Korean language still doesn't seem to work in legacy mode. As for my second issue. Found this KB article from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921470 Trouble shooting with this article seemed to have solved the "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." problem. I no longer have the errors in IE7 IE6 I must've had some sort of conflict with 3rd party browser add-on extensions. |

Does anyone know how I could replace the korean image file name to the korean flag? In the joomla flags there doesn't seem to be a korean flag. |
