Hi all,

I was looking for a translation of Joomla in malagasy for few days now, and I could not find any. So I decided to translate it myself. I am now at 80 % of the core, and done with some other modules.
Then I got a little discouraged because I spent about 4 hours. So if I translated 400 lines, it is 100 an hour, and so 1 or 2 or 3 lines a min, depending on the complexity.
And it isn't even the fourth of all of them. For those who have done this, can you give me a trick?
Sometimes, there are things that has been translated in the core, and here it is again in the user or in the content. It is tiresome, even for just a copy and paste.

But anyway, here is my main question, is it possible to show the translation page of fftranslation on the frontpage, so that the users can also translate something? That would save a lot of time.

Thanks

The Translation Manager can't be accessed through the front-end.
I am not sure what you mean by "core" and "user" and "content".
Site language is 50+ files including the xml
Admin language 90+

Ok thanks,

In the translation manager, the names of the files are not the same as their real names.
core corresponds to mg-MG.ini
com_user to mg-MG.com_user.ini
and so on

k ;)

To help for equivalent strings in different ini files, there is a parameter for the Translation Manager->pop-up: see picture

Hello ndriana,

Did you conquer the 'malagasy' language pack?
I'd love to add this to a site.

Thx,
E
