I have made a small component for Joomla!1.5. Its name is Phoca Gallery.

Hi Jan,

I tried to download your extension (from link above) because I liked to see how much amount of time it will take me to translate it. I have tried downloading it several times today,  but I just get this error:

"...start of central directory not found; Zip file corrupt. Possible cause; file transfer error"

"Cannot open file; it does not appear to be a valid archive."

Is it just me who has this problem or..?

Hi Jan,

I have translated the files to Swedish but I and Sune Hultman (=Swedish translation team) will go through the translation again when we have upgraded our testserver with the latest J1.5 from the SVN so that we could use your extension in a better way then we could this evening/night.

We will get back to you in a couple of days.

I have just sent you an email with the Swedish translation. We have had some problems with getting pictures in categories and therefor haven't being able to verify our translation by running through the extension.

We'll be glad to update the translation later on.

Hi Chrille,

I think, you have a problem with GD library.

Go to the component 'Phoca Gallery', then to 'Gallery', click on 'New' icon. In the form click on 'Image' icon. IN THIS MOMENT - GD function creates with help of GD library the thumbnails. Look into the directory '../images/phocagallery/thumbs/' - if there are no thumbnail photos, there is something wrong with GD library

Hi to all,

I am rebuilding and refactoring this component now. I am adding new functions:
- saving images into the different folders
- multiple adding of images (e.g. 100 images) to the category
- rebuilding thumbnails creating (because of multiple adding - mostly there is 30 sec limit to execute script, so I must rebuild the thumbnails creating)

There will be new items to translate. So, if I end the rebuilding this component, I will inform you. Thank you.

Pagination is set as default, you can enable or disable it in Parameters Basic in menu link to gallery

Hi, these are parameters component, you need to enable it in parameters basic (above the parameters component - it is enabled as default)

Hi.. how to set a default image to individual Gallery ? Rightnow it is support for "Random Image". I would like to select an default image from list of images to a photo gallery.

I'm wondering the same thing... how do you chnage the index image for a gallery / folder etc...

Do you need another add on to do that?

and phoca galleries translated in Joomfish look different in different languages. Could you please advise where to adjust the galleries parameters?

Hi, as in menu link you can change the parameters which will override the global parameters, the same you can do in menu link in joomfish - you will go to translate menu link to gallery in joomfish and you can see below the translation the parameters.
