Request for Irish Language Tranmslation for Joomla

Could someone kindly advise me of availability of language files for Joomla 1.5 branch.

I am afraid to say that there no official language packs for Irish in Joomla! 1.5.

However, the Scottish Gaelic language pack for Joomla! 1.7 is available at http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtrans ... ge_id=6053

Hi Imanickam,

Many thanks for the reply. Could you advise me the best starting point for me to begin looking at whats required for language translations for 1.5 (and 1.7 secondly) and also the actual (I suppose english?) files that need translation.

By the way, there is NO native Irish speaker in the team permanently... so if you or someone you know is willing to help this community effort, please, let us know!!
Progress has been done for 1.7/2.5 but front-end still not complete ;-(
You could jump straight in (web user interface available) and contribute to have the language file ready very soon!
