I've installed J! 1.6 and I'm noticing that the language files are partly loaded from directories within the component. See Trace:

Is the /language/ directory within a component/module the 'new' design place for NLS support ?

If this is not the right forum, plaese tell me where I can ask. I do not find a J1.6 section.

1.6 forums will come when beta1 is released. From what I read on the developer list, things still have to be decided for languages.

I will move it to a forum that has a better chance of somebody seeing it who knows.
