Hi,
Exactly what are the language improvements made in 1.5.4 ?
Can I have the site and admin translations in one ini ?
How does that work ?

Download a language, install it and see where all language files are. This means in /administrator/language and /language. It basically has many ini-files.

I know the basics, but what are the improvements made in this regard between 1.5.3 and 1.5.4 ?
The 'what's new' in 1.5.4 is very vague:
Improvements have been added to the Language Installation process so that the Site and Administrator languages can be installed as one package. Look for more information from the Bug Squad and the Translations Working Group blogs for how to use this new capability. Thanks to Jens-Christian Skibakk for his work in this area. If you have questions, please use the Translations forum.
Well, can't find anything in the blog's, don't want to PM Jens Christian just yet, so last resort...ask the question here...

There will be an article regarding this in the august edition of joomla magazine - I think. I have written the article...
But you can find good information on our Norwegian site, written by Rune (rued).

Thanks, it's clear to me now.
It's the Prefix thing and the client="both" option.
