Chile has a military government, which punish people, who doesn't have the right political opinion.

- Chile tiene un gobierno militar, que pena gente, que no tienen la opinión politica(o) correcta (o) ..

You sure it is "politica" insted of "politico" ? I know it is "LA opinión" .. but okey... If you say so!
- que pena gente...... GENTE.... is that more .. or just one...... ... que no TIENE/Tienen?

this is my sentence:
- Chile tiene un gobierno militar que castiga a la gente que no tiene la opinión política correcta.

"Gente" even if it means a bunch of people goes like La gente. then the verb is also "tiene" and no "tienen"

it can also be trasnlated as "personas" meaning many individuals.

I also think that you are talking about history, becouse Chile now has a democratic govermment.
