I do not know if anyone still cares about this thread or not

<html lang="hi">

<p lang="hi">
ये अनुच्छेद हिन्दी में है। (this is in hindi)
<p>

visit devanaagarii.net (pretty good info)

for copy and pasting .... I think that this should work

Start > All Programmes > MS Office > MS Office tools > Language setting

After the window pops-up, select ( mangal ) in available editing language and press ADD and then press ok. and try to copy paste your hindi text mail in ms word. If it works than well. If not then: Also download any hindi font and copy paste it in fonts folder which is in control panel.

Another way to try is
1. Use WORDPAD instead of MS WORD.
2. copy hindi text from browser and paste it on the word doc now change the font of pasted text to "Arial Unicode MS" if you have one installed.
3. install font from XP Control Panel >Regional and Language Options>Languages>Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including thai). For editing you need to goto Details... and add Hindi (or other indian language) keyboard layout.

There are many ways to do it .. techniques may vary from OS to OS.
