Want to start Dzongkha (dz-BT) translation for Joomla

Post by tenzin » Mon Nov 10, 2014 10:43 am

Hi,
We (me and few friends) would like to start translating Joomla into Dzongkha (dz-BT) language. Dzongkha is the language of Bhutan.

It would be very helpful if we could get some pointers to what all we need to do to begin with. I looked into the language pack list and did not find Dzongkha listed there, so looks like there is no registered Dzongkha language translation team. Would I need to formally register first??

All help would be very much appreciated.

Regards,
Tenzin

I suggest to use the com_localise component.
New version 4.0.7 will be released in 2 or 3 days

You can fetch it here:
https://github.com/joomla-projects/com_ ... e/releases
https://github.com/joomla-projects/com_ ... .6-dev.zip
and install on a Joomla 3.3.6 site.

Then start creating the language and translating.

You can automatically create a pack via the Packages interface.
When your group is ready (and work is advancing OK), please contact me to get into the Registered Translation Teams.

Also do if you have any difficulties.
