Crowdin translations replaced

Post by dyfrig » Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:58 am

Can anyone explain why a correct approved translation on Crowdin (for Welsh cy-GB) would be replaced by an incorrect translation by Joomla Production department. Deleting the incorrect translation brings the original back in an approved state. This is shown in the screenshots below.

In this particular case it happened a year ago but I have seen cases where translations approved in the last few weeks have been replaced by these completely incorrect translation. I suspect that the translations come from an extremely bad translation for Joomla 2.5 that was done by a non-native speaker probably using machine translation or using a dictionary badly.
