Hi,
I want to create Lithuanian language pack as it is not available in Joomla and have one question - what package must I take as a source for my translations? I see that Joomla comes with en-GB language but I was not able to find where to download this language pack. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Re: Lithuanian translation for Joomla
Do you want to create a registered pack that would be released for all Joomla users?
In this case, please contact Mig memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=224484 he will get you up and running on Crowdin. It is the simplest way when one is alone and need to start a new pack.
There is already some work done
https://crowdin.com/project/joomla-cms/lt#
Then when advanced, we will get you in the Translation Teams.

Re: Lithuanian translation for Joomla
I don’t know to be honest. I want to create minimal language pack at least for my personal usage at first as Lithuanian translation is not available for some reason. If I will be able to translate more than my required minimum I will make translation available for everyone. So I want to find out what is the easiest way to start with language pack translation.infograf768 wrote:Do you want to create a registered pack that would be released for all Joomla users?

Re: Lithuanian translation for Joomla
@rimvydukas, thanks for your interest in the translation of Joomla! core language strings to the Lithuanian (lt-LT) language.
In crowdin, as for as the Lithuanian translation (https://crowdin.com/project/joomla-cms/lt#) is concerned, I noticed that the 84% of the language strings have been translated and 44% of them are reviewed.
Also, I noticed that the language strings may have to be brought to reflect the current version of Joomla (ie. 3.8.8 and soon to be 3.8.9).
Since you have mentioned that you want to have a language pack with minimal translation to fit your need, I would suggest reviewing the translations in Crowdin. You could also download the language pack and test it to find out whether it fits your need.
What I would suggest is that you register with Crowdin and start the Lithuanian translation. This way, you help yourself as well as the Joomla community.
By the mean time I would request that the language strings be brought up-to-date.
Another possibility is to use the extension Localise (https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... /localise/).
Let us know your thoughts.
