Re: Welcome to the Translation Teams
Hello,
As I could'nt find a Luxemburgish translation, I started one myself using the translation manager and respecting all the translation policies.
I looked up if there was maybe a translation team that had started a translation.
I found this post:
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f ... &view=next
I tried to contact that person but no result.
I'm nearly done with the frontend part(about 70%). I am regularly testing it on a private website with joomfish on it and it works fine.
There is still the admin part and the install part to do.
What would be the next step to be recognised as a translation team (or at least as a volunteer to translate into luxemburgish)and as so be able to ask for help? (Unfortunately; there is no official luxemburgish joomla site, so there isn't any lux. forum where i could post this...

I suggest you start a topic asking for help in the Translation forum as well as in the Languages 1.5 forum.
To be recognized would not help you find help to translate.
Just contact me as soon as you have site and install part done.
Please read Translation Policy
http://community.joomla.org/translation ... olicy.html
and typical file headers

Re: Welcome to the Translation Teams
Hello again and thanks for the quick reply,
I already read the translation policy and i am respecting (at least i hope so)all the conditions.
Concerning the typical file header, as i am using the translation manager, aren't the file header written automatically correct?
I'll post in the forums and i'll contact you as soon as possible when i'm done with these two parts.
regards

Alas not.sebsteffes wrote: Concerning the typical file header, as i am using the translation manager, aren't the file header written automatically correct?
The Translation Manager last version available is quite old and the original developper dropped support/upgrade.
For example, the pdf default font in J! is freesans and not any more vera.
Also since then, we devised this new Policy and a few things have to be changed to respect OSM copyright, GPL and such.
Easy to change manually once Translation Manager has done its job.

Re: Welcome to the Translation Teams
We have already started a discussion by mail and I guess you understood that our reply was "yes" if you accept the Translation Policy and provide full packs also for site and admin.ezwep wrote:Hello all.

I doubt we can include the Hebrew installation files in 1.5.12 as there is not much time left before release.
Just let me know as soon as the 3 packs are completed. If they are before that release, we will include Hebrew installation files.
EDIT: in fact, just saw it is too late for 1.5.12 as the branch is now frozen.
Will be for 1.5.13
Thanks for volunteering.

Re: Welcome to the Translation Teams
Well, then, if you have done full 1.5.14 packs (including installation), you are welcome to join the Translation Teams indeed for ar-SA, if you agree to Joomla Translation Policy.
http://community.joomla.org/translation ... olicy.html
Please make sure your packs follow these rules too:
http://community.joomla.org/translation ... aders.html
and that you aknowledge the work you used from Saber with a common copyright.
Let me know if you are interested.
regards
JM

Best regards,
the best way to help is to check the languages available here
http://community.joomla.org/translations.html
and contact the coordinator for the language if it exists,
or contact the Transtation Team Coordination for a new language

Re: Welcome to the Translation Teams
You do not need to install a Nepali Joomla language pack to make contents in Nepali, as Joomla is utf8, but if you need the interface to be in Nepali, you would need one.logonscript wrote:i want to create my articles in nepali please help
At this stage we do not have any Nepali Registered language pack.
