Hello,

I'm not prety sure that this reply is in where it is allowed to be. If not, please forgive me.

My name is Bui Huy Thang, i'm co-owner of DesignForJoomla.com website. We are vienamese and already transtaled both frontend and backend for Mambo in the past. Now, what we want is to make our little contribution to Joomla community and Vietnamese community inparticular. We want to join the translation team and provide Vietnamese language pack.

Here http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/41/66/ I've found information about rules, but no guide what to do to make official submision. Could you please help. You can contact me by my personal email [email protected]

Thank you very much. We are looking forward to contrubute to joomla community.

@d4j

Please pm to "davidgal" http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1030

We have no Partner yet for Vietnamese, as presented in the Translation Policy you quote.
There is already a project for Vietnamese (version 1.0.8, utf-8) available on Jooomlaforge, by pxuan http://forge.joomla.org/sf/frs/do/viewR ... o.lang_doc

It may be worth contacting him to coordinate your efforts for version 1.5 as the work is quite different.
You could use the same project to make your work available, or create a new one if unfeasible.

There is also the question of the Help site which implies the Translation of the 140+ contents online.

Thanks, wynand.

I suggest you create a project on Forge and put your file there.
http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/1092/73/

Then I suggest you propose it on the Extenson site:
http://extensions.joomla.org/content/view/15/63/

If you can gather a few other volunteers for Afrikaans, Joomla! needs the future version 1.5 to be worked on.
Many more files to translate, all utf8.
See the nightly build here. It is a work in progress, at alpha stage.
http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/17/60/

All infos available on the same developper site.

I’ve done the first two of your suggestions.

The project Url is: http://forge.joomla.org/sf/projects/joomla_afrikaans

The Extension url is: http://extensions.joomla.org/index.php? ... &Itemid=35.

As for translating 1.5, if anyone wants to participate please let me know.

Goodbye for now.

I suggest you start a thread calling for volunteers in this language forum (something like "Call for Afrikaans Translators to form a Team" as well as adding a post in the South African thread calling volunteers to post on the new thread to volunteer.
Then you may arrange everything by pm and mail until you get a group formed.

Good luck!

Good. On which version? You may create a project on Forge and if you are interested to work on the language files for 1.5, let us know.
Good luck.  :)

Not TOTALLY compatible.
Nevertheless, many people use utf-8 sites on Joomla 1.0.10
Look at threads in this language forum for the necessary parameters

@sinang

Welcome on these forums.

You may want to contact kameran by pm  http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?actio ... le;u=36856

He is our Kurdish translator and he could need some help to start working on the 1.5 translation.

Also, if you two agree, you could post in this Language forum to gather Kurdish members and start a specific Kudish forum.

Good luck.

Hello,

I'd like to join the Official Translator Team as Hungarian Translator Partner, I deal with formal Hungarian translation, I translated many language files of Joomla 1.0.x core and components and 1.5 core into Hungarian and I update them.

My website is http://novoportal.hu

How can I be Hungarian Official Translator and how can I place my website into the Partner list. On my pages I'd like to place an Image about my Official Translator status?

Thank you!

Zoltan

I suggest you contact Vish http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1497, who coordinates the Indian sub-continent languages, and work together.

I this is not what you want, pleass send a pm to davidgal or myself.

We already have a translation partner for Hungarian: http://www.joomla.hu

You may want to collaborate with the Hungarian language coordinator, Legas http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?action=profile;u=153

Good luck.

8)...Hello Joomla,

your SHOP is cool.

I am having some small problems with it:

Please see the PHOTO.

http://desenaviegas.com/Joomla.JPG
Questions:

Do you have other languages, such as Portuguese and German?

Could I translate your language file into Portuguese (that takes of course some time)

How do I change the register into OFF??? I couldn't find the command in globals.php!

Kind regards!

Alex

Hi ...
a while ago I contacted some team members, and wanted to contribute as STT (Official swiss translation team) Joomla Translation files for the Swiss Commuity. We have also created a categorie at the Forge.
Also we have already translated the files for 1.5 Beta and are working on the SVN Releases for Beta 2 and also 1.0.12. We currently also are building up the Help files.

within the Team you will find:

Leader: 'KaNiko' = http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?action=profile;u=42
and
substitute for KaNiko is 'Sisko1990' = http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?actio ... le;u=60422
are the Translation Team for the Swiss Community!

If you could please add KaNiko and Sisko1990 to the Translation Team Forums.
at least, it would be kind to somehow get a answer!

Cheers

Pete

David is just getting back, he has been sick quite badly. JM should be back after Christmas after moving houses, he mentioned that yesterday. One of them will pick it up.
