I have mambelfish installed on Joomla 1.0.4.  it seemed to install correctly, but it does not let me translate anything.

When I navigate to components -> mambelfish -> translation and then select contents, I get a list of all my content.  Under Language colum is (no translation), and state is a red dot. with Published being a red X.

I then select an item to translate.  The left side is completely empty so I do not see the original text.  Once I type something into the translation section on the right and navigate to the second tab ("Item Information"). I select the translation language and check published.  After Clicking save, It does not save.  It still shows unpublished and no translation on the main screen.

Can anyone tell me why and how to fix this?

thnaks for your support!

I also notice when I try to edit the configuration file it says Problems while saving the configuration!

I migrated my files from the development server to another server and think this could have caused it all.  Does anyone know which folders I might need to change the permissions on and to what status they should be set?
