Hi,

I've recently moved a joomla website from one server to another hosting company.
Everything went well and smooth.
Since it's a bilingual site, the cyrillic characters are displayed correctly.

The only issue I'm having is the "Read More" link. It is not displayed correctly, instead it shows only ?????.
I've searched this forum, but couldn't find any solution for it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I'm attaching a screenshot below.

Are you already using Joomla 1.5 - if not => upgrade!

If yes => your language file is not stored in UTF-8 which is causing the problem in the display of the chars.

I'm using Joomla 1.0.15 Stable, since it uses Joomfish as well, and upgrading at the moment is more of a problem than e solution.

I do believe that the problem lies in the macedonian.php file, since when i change the character encoding wo windows-1251, it displays "More" instead of cyrillic.
When i change it to utf-8 it displays ????

Are the translated items only stored on the language folder or they're also elswhere?

Hi,

Trust me - upgrading is less a problem than a relieve. You are going to find many, many more problems if you are trying to use J 1.0.15 with UTF-8. Its not only this one file which will cause problems, you will get many more on various other points.

And BTW: There is no more support for J 1.0.15 nor Joom!Fish 1.8 anymore. Nada, nothing. The old version had their end of life last month.
