Akede thanks for the response. Actually either way is okay for me. I would just like to make sure my Japanese site and English site are under any kind of sef path. Can you recommend and SEF components that I can make?

with, everytime I tried to enable set any kind of SEF in the past with mambofish modules and components didn't work right.

Sounds as though you are trying to install a second time - did it fail the first time for some reason?

Try uninstalling the component, module and both mambots and then try again.

For me it looks more like you clicked twice on the install button. Can you clean up all Joom!Fish Files and try a new install

Believe me guys, I am not a joomla newbie :), I know what I do. I tried a regular install, and I got this error, no clicking twice, no double installs, nothing unusual. I tried it 4 times now.

It is not a "fresh" Joomla installation, there are allready some coms, mods and bots installed, but nothing really special.

Any, its not the users fault, ideas? :-) SCNR

Edit2: Ok, it seems that there is something strange with my installation, some comps are installable, some quit with the same error. So this seems not to be a Joomfish-problem. Anyway, if anybody have a hint, I would be happy :-)

a big thanks for release, but there are two things I'm thinking about:

a) I somehow don't see my default text if I switch to a language for which no translation exists yet
b) what will happen when Joomla v1.1 gets released ? Will Joom!Fish be built-in ? If yes, what shall people who are going to update, do ? unstall the previously installed Joom!Fish ??

a) Default text is applied only on CONTENT - tell me if you don't see it there
b) It will not be built-in and there will be an easy upgrade

DubInDee well your error is not really an error you already have prikey id 0 it's joomlaexplorer.
Here is where I am confused it looks like you jos_components table doesn't have auto increment set on the id column.
This is my jos_components table

  `params` text NOT NULL,

The thing that is bothering me is
Me->>  `id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
You->>   `id` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',

I can tell what is happening, and why the error is occuring, I'm just not sure how your table got that way.
What is happening, the joom!fish install is trying to add it's entry to the jos_components table using a blank id (because it's expecting this column to autmatically generate it's own id). Since auto inc isn't being set, and no idea is specified rather a '' place holder your tables default action is to set the id = 0 (which joomlaexplorer is already using). While my table will create a new id automaticly

The fix in my opinion BUT PLEASE DO NOT IMPLMENT THIS UNTIL SOMEONE ELSE CONFIRMS WHAT I'M SAYING, because I have no idea why this would be anything but auto_inc
change your id column back to an auto_increment  (this can be done via the mysql admin gui, select the jos_components table, under the structure section click the change icon for the id column, remove the default value, change extra to auto_increment.

I was wondering if there isn't a way of translating
. Account Maintanance Items (Titles like: bill to information, shipping information, orders information, etc)
. Registration form

Other than that, everything works perfect. Maybe there's a way and I just haven't figured out.

Edit: Mmm, on my online Site the table is ok, so it must be somehow happend when I transered the db-dump to my local installation. Anyway thanks, I learned a little bit today :-)

Edit2: Had to "fix" jos_mambots and jos_modules too, same problem, no auto_increment

I've just installed JoomFish and I un-published the mambleFishBot and Module.
Unfortunately I get the following error with the module DisplayNews ( http://forge.joomla.org/sf/projects/display_news )
Fatal error: Undefined class name 'mambelfish' in /web/htdocs/www.mysite.it/home/modules/mod_dn.php on line 499

Is there something I can do to make this module working?

First of all: nice work!

Unfortunately I am running into serious problems, after solving the mambot bug. I am not sure if it is a bug in the JoomFish beta or my fault, so I am posting here first before adding it to the bugtracker.

I am running my site with German [UTF-8] and English [8859-1], perhaps this is the problem.

If I translate content from german into english, slahes are added to every ", so it is impossible to see images. For example:

German original content:
blablabla blablabla

Translated appears:
blablabla blablabla

Link to the site (see first news for example of this issue, after clicking the UK flag):
http://www.esportive.de

I deactivated the WYSIWIG and edited pure HTML, nevertheless this bug  appears.
Any ideas?  ???

Joom!Fish is an official addon.

After the stable release it will be released as well under the stable addons project and you will find a complete distribution (Joomla! including Joom!Fish). The support for this component will be managed by us and the core team as well.

We decided to not included it into the core as there are also a huge number of users which don't need the fish at all. And we don't want to increase the distribution package.

For Joomla! 1.1 we will provide a new generation Fish which is compatible to this version including full UTF-8 support and so on. As Ivo said, there will be an upgrade path.
