Hello,

maybe somebody could enlighten me:

I'd like to know how deep the Joom!Fish plugin is integrated in Joomla when it gets installed.
Is it an installation or more a patch to the Joomla System? Does the installation overwrite Joomla files?

Are there later problems with Joomla updates if Joom!Fish is installed?

Greetings,
Martin G.

Hi Martin,

Joom!Fish is like most other extensions, it does not patch Joomla! core files. MambelFish used to do this, but there have been added some "hooks" into the Core code so patches are no longer required. So nothing of the core gets overwritten. Upgrading should not be a problem.

This are good news! Thanks alot for information!

I think it's very important not to touch the Joomla! core - to allways stay compatible to patches and upgrades and to hold the high security level of this superb CMS!

Greetings,
Martin

Joom!Fish is an official extension, so that means it's operations are supported by the core.

simplefaq.xml  above is right. You have to change "While ($row1=mysql_fetch_object($result1)){" to "$rows=$database->loadObjectList(); foreach($rows as $row1) {" in yoursite/components/com_simplefaq/simplefaq.php
