mamblefish - different homepages ?
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to use MambelFish for using to languages.
Is it possible to use different texts on a homepage (frontpage) depending of the language in witch we want to see our web site?
How may I do that?
Thanks for your helps

Hi,
What you could do is create an original text, then translate it to basic English (or whatever your primary language is), and to one or more languages. Of course this text can be whatever you like, thus giving the frontpage a different text for each language.

Re: mamblefish - different homepages ?
Yes, this should be possible. It's like I replied in my first post. The translated content does not need to be similair to the original. So you can create different homepages for each language. When you do the translation, which is done manually, you just place different text.

I think the component is great but the support is poor
The Mamblefish is a great tool but the tuto or manual is missing somewhere
Can you masters who can manage to live with the mamblefish tell us the beginners how to put it to work
im trying to put a site with only to languages (Spanish/English) and before the mamblefish where instaled only spanish content shows up and before the instalation it only displays english content
Can you point us please with some manual or tuto or guide or something in order to put it to work
Please

Re: mamblefish - different homepages ?
My default language is in english.
I installed the component
Then conifured it with the tool through the Components> mamblefish
I then installed the language files through the language manager.
Then went back to the mamblefish component>translation
When the page loads, to the right "Content Elements" Select Contents
This should list the Content items you have currently on the site.
click on any of them to translate them to your language ie, type the content in the language you want.
