delete the menu option for my component

Hi

This is the other question which is still open. I created a component but there should not be an option during the creation of  a menu. So right now if I create a new menu and i choose the create menu => component I can select my component.
But I dont want this how do I disable this ?

what kind of menu do you mean? bar menu on the backend or joomla menu (i.e: main menu, user menu).
better you put your existing script to make your question clear.

Clear the link column in the database table jos_components for that entry.
