Hi,
let me first start off with stating that I'm really happy that the rundigital 508 hack exists! Cool work.

I have a question, though, and I wonder if anyone can come up with a solution, possibly Angie or Robert themselves ;D

I'd love to see the mod_mainmenu functions not wrapping a link around the active navigation point,
or so to say: not generating self-referencing links.

I guess the template (mod_mainmenu.html) would have to be changed, but I am not sure if and how.

At the moment, the modded mainmenu generates stuff like:

[linktitle].
[linktitle].

while the one with the "chosen" class is the active page.

If you're aiming at BITV/bitv-test conformity, something like this would be better:

[linktitle].
[linktitle].

so that there is no link around the active page's navigation item, and hence there's no self-reference for the page, since
you're already ON that page and an additional redundant link is not needed/generates confusion.

I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this!

Greets,
janwin

Yes, this is correct. This is a patTemplate. It is a little bit difficult, you have to change most of the template.

hope this helps a little bit
