Seen as Forge has been down for a number of days - where else can I possibly get this shoutbox from?

thank you for your help!
I wonder if you can help me with something tho..
Since I migrated from Mambo to Joomla, the shoutbox on my site was not working.. hence the reason I wanted to download it again..
I deleted the com_shoutbox stuff off my server and reinstalled the component..
I have deleted everything pertaining to the shoutbox in my modules section too, but when I try to install the mod, it tells me

"There is already a file called /home/djconnect/87VZANQM/htdocs/joomla/modules/mod_smo_ajax_shoutbox.php - Are you trying to install the same CMT twice?"

I cant seem to find that file anywhere in that folder on my server.. any idea where it may be hidden?

Seems you need to delete the OLD files making confusion....

You cant get into a new relationship when you have not broken up with your old lover!! :-)

Just look in the following directy and delete the file-

/home/djconnect/87VZANQM/htdocs/joomla/modules/

Good luck and dont forget to clear room in your life for a new lover....i mean new mod installs :-)

I eventually came right with the mods and coms lol..

but now I have a problem where I dont know how or where to put the code so that the shoutbox appears on the front page on the right nav bar.. under the login form..

Seems you have experience with this.. are you able to assist at all?

Did you put a tag in the template and then add that tag in module posistions?

in Joomla CP- Template Manager--->Module Posistions

like "shout" or whatever and then it will show up.

The tag is the same as the left, right or main

Let me know if your still stuck-

~Matt~

hehe.. im shocked and horrified!! lol..
Im VERY VERY new to joomla.. :)
ummm, where do I find the Template Manager? And no, I haven't edited the template at all..
My ex business partner started the sit off in Mambo.. he managed to get the shoutbox to work there.. I have checked out the index.php and I dont see anything relating to the shoutbox in there..
I moved the site over to Joomla last week, and havent touched the Mambo stuff, so technically speaking, it should still show in the index page yes? but it doesnt.. lol..

okay-

to make this simple for now just select the module-
then once in the module admin you select Module Posistion to where you want....left? Right? Top? User1?

If that does not work. THen you need to open the template in Dreamweavr and look for the place you want the shoutbox and add a TAG.

If you view-page-source you will not see the tags as they are converted to content when they are live.

Only other way is to allow me to log-in to your site but ummmm you dont know me.....ah yeah:-)

Good luck!
~Matt~
