Hi Vish

I am new to joomla, can anyone guide me to design Gujarati joomla ? where do i get Gujarati language pack and how do i install and set as Gujarat.

We do not have a gujrati language pack available as of now. If you are willing to translate the files for us, you will have one and other will too. If you are interested, PM me.

Thanks for all the help sir but what do you say what should I use to create language packs as base, 1.0.x or 1.5.x ? What is your personal suggestion?

I would train on 1.0.x as it is quite fast and easy, then switch to 1.5 as it is full utf8 and all interface is available in your language.

+ we have some surprises coming for 1.5.2

What would you think about getting the date in any language you install even if the locale is not installed on your system.
Also what about tcpdf working for all languages —including rtl—, once you get the right font

Can not say anything right now but will inform you if I face any problems during my progress. I hope you can help me out regarding this issues.

I have already started translation for Gujarati. Work in progress...

May be finished within 2 Days.

After completing this I will start new thread for this language pack.

the below mentioned gujarati language pack is for Joomla 1.5.

i have downloaded and configured in Joomla 1.5.

and it is working as expected. Good job done.

however,is there any gujarati language pack available for Joomla 2.5.

If yes please let me know how to download and configure it in Joomla 2.5.

Sorry as of now no Gujarati language pack available for Joomla 2.5. If you are willing to contribute, please contact me. I am alone and it takes time to create language pack.
