Have you saved the file as utf8 No BOM?

Hmmm. looks like that is the problem here.

After a bit of an online search PHP requires UTF-8 no BOM. Or it wont work.

This may be the cause of my problem.

Does anyone know if there is an Editor that can convert UTF-8 to UTF-8 NO BOM ??

I am unable to find any..! My Editplus doesnt help :(

The no-BOM is only required when the file is executed.
When I open your file in an utf8 aware editor, it does not display malayalam glyphs.
Therefore the Bom is not at stake.

(അഷഘ may not display in Firefox but it will if you open the attached file in an utf8 editor.)
I used Freeserif for these glyphs.

You can use Notepad++ on Windows.

I can now read Malayalam glyphs but there are errors with some of your spaces and returns.

yes. i admit that.
There are errors with spaces and returns.

But my basic and important problem is when i use this file in Joomla Installations.
It still comes out as Junk chars only.

Do you think it is due to No BOM thingy ?
Do you see any other reason for that !!
This is is what i primarily need help on.
