Hi,

I have converted a transliteration package to TinyMCE editor plugin known as akIndicPlugin. It can be used to write in following languages

1. Devanagari(Hindi)
2. Bengoli
3. Gujarati
4. Kannada
5. Malayalam
6. Gurumukhi
7. Telgu
8. Urdu
I have also written a tutorial on how to enable Joomla(both 1.0 and 1.5) to use this plugin
check it out http://amiworks.co.in/talk/akindicplugi ... nd-joomla/

you can download akIndicPlugin at http://amiworks.co.in/talk/akindicplugi ... r-tinymce/

your feedback with this plugin would be appreciated.

Sir,

I am using joomla 1.5x

I uploaded the plugin into :" plugins\editors\tinymce\jscripts\tiny_mce\plugins"

I cant complete the 2nd step "Open tinymce.php file in “editors\tinymce” in Notepad"

as the tinymce.php is in the folder "plugins/editors" .

& in line 190 of tinymce.php I have

190 " //Initial values for buttons
191 array_push($buttons2_add_before,'cut','copy','paste');
192 array_push($buttons2_add,'|');
193 // Plugins
so on....

so please tell me where to place the code you provide to me..

& icant find the Icon in the tinymce toolbar.

I cam unable to locate it, can you please provide me the procesor in detail as I am a Newbie to Joomla.

As of 1.5.12 (but better with Joomla 1.5.15 which will be released this week), you better use this plugin, which is Tinymce 3 compatible.

http://www.vishalon.net/LinkClick.aspx? ... &tabid=244

Unzip and ftp the folder "indicime" in
plugins/editors/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/

Then go to administration -> Extensions -> Plugins Manager and edit TinyMCE parameters.
Set TinyMce to Extended mode, then, in Advanced Parameters in the bottom last fields
in Custom plugin enter "indicime"
in Custom button enter "indicime, indicimehelp"

Clear cache and edit an article, the buttons will show on the bottom row of TinyMce.
Choose a language in the dropdown then look at the help button.

Your version of joomla is obsolete.
Current version is 1.5.14.
1.5.15 shall be released very soon.

Yes. Tiny 3 has been included since 1.5.12.
But if your site is not yet online, I would wait 1.5.15 where many TinyMce bugs have been corrected.
