For those who are interested in downloading kannada language pack for Joomla.
I have uploaded language files to Joomla code base for ver. 1.0.12

i am new to joomla. i want to create a kannada website could you tell how to use this kannada language pack.

its very heartening to see Kannada being developed in joomla
But if possible please provide a link on how we can make use this pack to build Kannada websites. it will be very helpful for many first time users.

and install Joomfish component for second language.

regarding kannada lang pack: unzip the folder and copy all three files in "language" folder under Joomla file structure.
Follow instructions on forums/joomfish site on how to enable language there.

Important note:
this pack is for Joomla! 1.0.x and will not work in J! 1.5.x

I remind you that J! 1.0 will not be anymore updated and no more available either from July 2009.

Time to make 1.5 packs...

Do we have the Kannada Language pack for Joomla 1.5x?

I am eagerly waiting for Kannada Language pack for Joomla 1.5. Can anyone temme how to make such pack? is there any tutorial?

As of today, we don't have any kannada pack. I had replied to a guy. But never got any response. Let me contact him again.

Please send me the link of kannada language pack for Joomla 1.5!

Unfortunately there is no Kannada language pack available for joomla 1.5. Are you willing to volunteer?

Nobody has ever started translation for Joomla 1.5 (or not shared with Joomla community). So you will have to start kannada pack from scratch. I can guide you.

Ya am interested in doing it. Plz help me...

I feel it would be good if we can discuss what are the things one needs to go through while contributing. Looking at that ppl might feel they can do so and volunteer to contribute. In my case i can pull in some more as well.

So just give us a general idea in the steps involved !

I am doing website in kannada(Indian) language. But I tried a lot still i cant use kannada font for joomla 1.5 . Even i dint find any kannada language pack for joomla1.5 . Please can any one suggest me how i can move forward.

There is no Kannada pack available for Joomla 1.5 nor any volunteers are interested in development. Let me know if you are interested...

I am a newbie in Joomla , Just started a week back and very impressed with the ease of development using Joomla.
This is my Site: http://www.ictforu.com and I would like to add Kannada language support for it.
I am using latest version of joomla , i.e Joomla! 2.5.
If the support is not present , I am willing to add the Kannada language support, I need help in starting up (setup , etc).
Can anyone please help?
