As I said, I would recommend starting with Marathi translation. Let me know if you need any help.

Sorry Vish,
I think I posted my message about Hindi translations under wrong topic. I am interested in translating for 1.5 Joomla.
Am also interested in a couple of freelance Joomla developers you could refer.

Hello,

I have made a few joomla websites including a japanese multilingual site using joomfish. I would love to help to translate joomla 1.5 to marathi, hindi and konkani (they are very similar).

I have lots of free time these days. Please tell me how I can help.

Is a project/team formed and tasks assigned ?

contact me at saurabhbhide@gmail.com

Yes, I have. I am done with the installation almost 90 %.

I have started the front end but still a long way to go.

I have not even started the admin translation....

I am planning to come up with a online tool so that all of us can do this together. I will post more information on this thread once I have it working.

hi guys
I am terribly sorry i didnt know there was a group trying to do this already. I guess i tried to reinvent the wheel by starting my own project. I hope I can merge my project in this group if leaders allow. I have already translated Joomla frontend in marathi, almost finished with admin language pack too and working on Joomla hindi right now.
Let me know how can contribute to this project.
Thanks

Hi there. I somehow managed to miss your post in this thread. I did see that you have done marathi translation and all and I was wondering it would be great if you join IndicJoomla project. So, do you want to share the work you have done and be part of IndicJoomla? THe project URL is below:

http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/indicjoomla/frs/

Either way, great job and keep it up.

Yes, if you have a language file you want to distribute....but you do not have to. YOu can create your own project and distribute under your own project. Its upto you. I would be nice to have it all under one umbrella. You still get to call it your project but it looks nice to have all indian languages under one project I think.
