Thanks Parth!
FYI, I just looked at the project link and saw Hindi. A guy has already started Hindi translation some days ago. I guess he has not translated many strings yet.
And did you also try to contact hindi language co-ordinator of Joomla 1.5? I have not heard anything from him regarding 1.7 translations though.

Official Hindi Language Pack for Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 is already there, you can find the packs here:
http://community.joomla.org/translation ... html#hi-in
http://community.joomla.org/translation ... tions.html
We worked very hard to do that, so i think there is no need to that.
We are also working on Joomla 3.0 pack and will release this soon.

Why work on Transifex?coolparth wrote:Hello Bhavya, thats great.. Can you join us on transifex & maintain it there ? I am mainly asking as that way, we will have one place for all Indian languages.. we can help you import your complete files if you want..
You did not get any core packages for joomla since the original post here in 2011...
We are still waiting for Marathi...
I guess, if you want to help, that you should just at least produce one...
Also, maintaining on Transifex a core pack is an extremely hard task. We do know the issues with that tool. That would kill the work by snaroliya for the present Hindi pack.

Hello Jean,
I know no packages have been submitted as yet as they are not complete..& I am sorry i haven't been able to drive it as much as i wanted to.. I dont wish to disturb any official process..
Just that in their present form the half finished translations that a few people are maintain, they have helped several Marathi sites coming up.. Hopefully it will help Marathi & Other language packs till official ones are available.
