Olá fui instalar a tradução do joomla 1.64 e deu o seguinte erro:
JFile: :read: Unable to open file: C:\xampp\htdocs\joomla\tmp\install_4e0fb30705cd7\site_pt-BR.tar.gz
Unable to read archive
Install path does not exist
Package Install: There was an error installing an extension: site_pt-BR.tar.gz

Alguem sabe o que tá dando errado?

O erro acima ocorre porque as referencias dos arquivos
Code:
<file type="language" client="site" id="pt-BR">site_pt-BR.tar.gz</file>
<file type="language" client="admin" id="pt-BR">admin_pt-BR.tar.gz</file>
estão incorretas no pacote pt-BR_joomla_lang_full.1.6.4v1.zip.

As extensões de site_pt-BR e admin_pt-BR devem ser .zip, e não .tar.gz.

Além disso, o arquivo install.xml do pacote site_pt-BR.zip contém sintaxe da versão 1.5.x do Joomla!.

Tente ao invés instalar o pacote pt-BR_joomla_lang_full.1.6.4v1.tar.gz, que pode ser obtido no link:

Bom na verdade eu já deveria ter respondido aqui, mas comecei a mecher no joomla! e esqueci de tudo kkk já arrumei o problema faz tempo, o que aconteceu era que eu estava instalando tudo junto usando uma pasta só com os arquivos do site e da administração juntos, quando eu instalei separadamente deu certinho ^^
