I Just replaced Joomla Vbulletin Vbridge with Com_Connector, if i try to login now, i get just errors, why?

2 Weeks ago it was mentioned that the file should be available for joomla 1.08, aren't they available? Dont want to read a 12 Pages thread just to find out nothing (read last 2 pages).

PLs Release a Fix for this fatal error!

it does not work with 1.0.8 currently
and you can not use joomla.php from v. 1.0.7 with joomla 1.0.8

This should be posted on the com_connector download thread. It will save lots of headaches for many. ;-)

Thats really bad .....

Could you please publish the changes which have to be made on the core so that we can patch the new core manually?

Ok, leonsio, I think we all know this by now, and don't get me wrong here, I am not trying to be a nuisance, but what we all need to know is perhaps an ETA on when the new version, one that works with Joomla 1.0.8, will be available. Since you said a new one would be available circa Feb 15th, I guess people are growing impatient.

Personally, I think the entire community should be very grateful for all your hard work, but many here have sites and deadlines to meet, and just can't keep on waiting for a solution, that we don't know when will be made available, and will be forced to look somewhere else.

I know MANY will argue, stick with Joomla 1.0.7, but why should we, when 1.0.8 is technically better and performance is much much better than 1.0.7. Like I said, I hope you don't get me wrong, I am just trying to help you sort this out and inform us all when to finally expect the new version of com_connector.  :)

you wants complete documentation
new functions, bugfixes, help by problems

but i do not receive no one cent for my work

im working alone on this project

and have some other projects running, real life and full time job
so that this things have more priority for me, as this connector

Sorry if I it so directly, but wait until it is done
this will be done, if it is done

my own forum is running with joomla 1.0.7 and VB 3.5.3 and i dont have time to update it too :/

Thats always the problem if you hack the core. Normally this shouldn't be done. In This Point, its extremly bad, sometimes the core changes extremly in some points, this time, session handling.

Security increased much by this change, so many sites can't wait really long for a working new version, sometimes they must upgrade in less then 7 days.

If you would money for a patch, say the price, you will get it, or activate a paypal to donate. But pls, look that you can get the patch for 1.08 fast online :)

New Functions, Documentation etc could all be done later, top priority should be working with the last stable joomla release

i dont want money for any patches or something else
if anyoune wants to donate, the button is in evere com_connector page in the administration

i have reduce the core hacking only to one file, old vbridge has some more core files hacked
but this hacks are needed, it does not work without it
the new version 1.1 have some hooks like VB and it will reduce the core hacking

i will try to make the update as fast it posible
