if you use the same admin user in joomla and vbulletin ( by/after installation) the user must have the same name and same password

have you added correct options ( database/cookie prefix/license ) in the module administration?

if you login in joomla you should be logged in vbulletin
for the other way you needs "vbulletin application connector"

I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, but when I installed the com_connector component it shows up as an empty folder and doesn't show up in the list of component, yet it did say "success".  I couldn't find the exact instruction on how to install the com_connector and com_menus in the administrator>components folder. I've tried uploading it, but anyhow com_connector doesn't show up anywhere.

I was actually able to get vBridge to work well (login from both way), and just read you post about needing "vbulletin application connector" to get it to work the other way? So, what is the benefit of using this if there are so many little peices that I need to find to get this working?  Where do you find the vbulletin application connector?

vBridge had a login module, so does this connector use the default login module?

Thanks

I dont understand how deleting all the users from the database and setting up a new forum will allow my users to login?
I also dont know how to change my password through phpmyadmin, all it shows up as is this...

c4c967b1a6e19d6bb5g4205931f672cd

Is there anyway guides to doing this?  This connector seems really nice.  I tried VBridge but it killed my site, thank god for *backups*.  I musta not followed steps right, Im just a newbie  :P
