Joomla Sef Patch..dang it

Well, it has great potential, but after install weblinks link fails give parse error and does not work for all menu items such as search and others,,,

Had high hopes, but found that I needed to revert back and stay with the standard SEF in Joomla that works fine, did not want to risk page rank loss or other issues,,,

If I understand right, then 1.1 should correct the issues surrounding SEF, addons can help, but have found many addons add numerous errors to validation, if that is a concern, then my advice is to be careful as to what addons or extensions you choose, be wise and not gunho for , wow its a good addon until you've made sure no issues are at hand...

I donit know about web links component I don't use it -

This patch has nothing to do with SEF URL's but I does help: you take better care for META description and keywords. And I thing ability do asign proper description is one of key factors to get better SE rankings for you site - tested it and it works fine - but we have to wait more for results in SERP, as most of the trafic you get from SE is not to you frontpage but to content items...

One more thing I would be a good idea to have links title tag for menu items displeing asigned description? What do you think?

When you install this patch, it also overwrites the weblinks componet, once done, if you try the weblinks link by the default manimenu from a base install, the link now fails giving this error

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in  com_weblinks/weblinks.php on line 387

I have two installs of Joomla, one is under a subdomain and not a production setup as of yet, I also tried it on the main domain product site and the same error proceeds.

On the subdomain setup, I installed the joomla/virtuemart package and this is where some things are not being fully SEF'd as it does not SEF these modules or componets from virtuemart.
