After a testing spent more than 4 hrs. I found that it is a bug itself in joomla1.5.12. the images once inserted in article through article manager in joomla administrator cannot be modified by the icon provided by Joomla editor to align image. It successfully saves the article but displays as usual. This issue was not in Joomla 1.5.9.

instead if we select the image alignment at the time of inserting image, it works, but image once inserted and then if we want to change the alignment through the button "Insert/Edit button" and update. it does not saves it. However if we apply align right or left manually through HTML button it works. but everytime user may not have idea about html.

I have checked in for more than 4 hours and in 3 joomla sites version 1.5.12 only.

Yep! You're right. I tested under IE7 and FF 3.0.12, using the latest Joomla!-version, using the RhukMilkyway template (and others).

Also I noticed that - if you trie inserting images from url -, you don't get to see the maps you made above the stories-directory.

Any news on this issue? Its very frustrating having a great looking site, but having images that aren't looking as good (alignment-wise) as they could!

I think the key is actually in the code cleanup part. I deselected all of the code cleanup stuff and it appears to be working fairly well now... but I'll try the change in the TinyMCE Editor version and see if that helps.
Thanks!

Thanks for the link :)

I followed the guide and now changes I make are kept in the editor panel in the backend. Excellent.

But when I go to the front and and view the page none of the layout changes are kept.

I am confused :-\

Hi all.
I think the link above maybe solves the image-alignment problem, but also creates another one, since readmore links don't work anymore after you make the explained changes. I'm puzzled that such a basic function has been causing problems for such a long time. But still ... it's volunteers that keep things going. Anyway. I decided to give Tiny MCE a kick in the ass and installed Joomla FCK. I'm a happy person again ...
Grz!

Well ... I hope that there won't be too much differences in the saved code. Both editors work with different styling-codes...
Cheers!

Hi,
I am building a site with xampp. I have the same problem with version 1.5.14. But I didn't have that issue with ver 1.5.10.
I like to use the latest update and keep the html cleanup in mce. Is there a solution for this problem?

Tha
