hi all,
i have the following situation: i am going to move an existing xoops site to joomla, the xoops content etc is going to be different in joomla so that should be done manually.
BUT  the xoops site has the NEWBB forum. the customer wants to get all users messages conversations etc over to joomla.
i decided to use joomlaboard as the new easy and simple forum in joomla because there are no troubles using bridges or use hacks etc.
the only thing about this is that converting the complete xoops forum to joomlaboard would be something to do 
i did read many articles about migrating and converting but none of them has the one solution for this.
should i do some extra work by moving first from newbb to phpbb to smf to joomlaboard or should i use another combination to get this done? i hope some experienced people out there can give me the solution or at least their idea on how i should do this so that everything runs smoothly after the conversion.

How about the user account infomraton including username and password, has anyone converted that successfully from xoops to joomla?
