working solution for phpbb and Joomla integration

I am looking for working solution to intagrate fresh install:

Joomla 1.0 + phpbb 2.0.18
component or mambobot
So far phpBB component (tim-online.nl) to buggy

Joomla 1.1 + phpbb 2.0.18
component or mambobot
phpBB userbot not working with fresh installation on my server

Can someone post link with working hack Joomla/phpbb

Too bad this question never got an answer. I for one am VERY interested in a working solution.

If you use or want to use Community Builder (http://www.joomlapolis.com) then I have a phpBB connector plugin which can connect the two (in conjunction with a wrapper or url link).

It syncs users, login and logout of CB/Joomla will login/logout phpbb... updates to CB profile (username, password, e-mail) will sync with phpBB automatically... recent phpBB posts are visible in CB profile...

must have CB installed and working
must have phpBB installed in same database as Joomla
1 minor tweak to phpBB sessions.php file (to fix a small bug)
