Hi,

the site forum.joomla.org is just phpBB, there is no bridge involved, it is just styled the same way:
viewtopic.php?p=1317684#p1317684

well, you can install it in the root or in a separate directory, it depends what you want to do.

We have two separate domains, www.joomla.org and forum.joomla.org. These are both on different servers, and two completely different web areas. Your best best probably is to install Joomla in the root, and the forum in /forum or something like that.

@Tonie
How are you?Clearly these are tow domain. You can also bridge joomla & phpBB in one domain by using "Mehdi's Phpbb bridge" component.I am using this component and works fine in one joomla site.

Thanks for the information. I know there are bridges that make this possible. For the moment, this is not something that we'll use. One day we will probably want to merge all user databases of all applications we use, that's the moment that we will look at something like this.
