@dysfunctional
my bridge for phpbb2 doesn't work with joomla 1.5
The new bridge I provide is between joomla 1.5 & phpbb3.

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
hi mehdi! thanks for your reply.
ahh, ok. I was hoping it would work running joomla 1.5 in legacy mode...
so my best solution would be to upgrade to phpbb3, then use your new bridge instead, if I wanna continue running joomla 1.5, right?
thanks again
best regards
peter

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
even official phpbb website is dropping support for phpbb2,ahh, ok. I was hoping it would work running joomla 1.5 in legacy mode...
so there's no point in supporting phpbb2 more.
right. But it's not as if my bridge is the only solution .so my best solution would be to upgrade to phpbb3, then use your new bridge instead, if I wanna continue running joomla 1.5, right?
I do not wish to advertise alternatives, but choice is not lacking.

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
OK, Mehdi,
I have installed your Bridge in both PHPBB 3.04 and Joomla 1.5 followed all your instructions, yet when i goto view the forum, the forum displays fine (although its not adopting the color scheme of the joomla template its displaying the silver and blue bridge one) and also the joomla site does not display correctly. Here is a link to the site:
http://bob.ticktockwebs.co.uk
click on forum in the top bar, and you will see what i mean. At the moment its only a test site before i do it to a friends site. Any help is appreciated greatly
Thanks
Nick

@chapster5
the bridge has no impact on your main Joomla installation.
Only the bridged forum is "aware" of Joomla, not the reverse.

@chapster5
don't use the converter on the css of joomla theme,
only phpbb theme. If you have modified your joomla theme restore it.

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
Just use the default bridgesilver template provided, if you don't have an idea of what you are doing. No need to use the css converter with this one.
Moreover, the css converter is not mandatory, it's just supposed to make things easier in fixing template issues.

You shoudn't touch your Joomla theme.
Restore the original css of Joomla theme , to get the styles back.
The css converter I suggest , is for the Phpbb theme only.

@chapster5
Repeating myself: use original css for your joomla theme, or switch to an other Joomla theme.
I see that your joomla theme use this css:
http://bob.ticktockwebs.co.uk/templates ... mplate.css
And this one was converted by the "css integrator" thing, because the .mainCell class appear everywhere in your online css. Since you Joomla theme isn't inside an element having the mainCell class, no styles are applied.

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
I am using your bridge but whenever i try to use a different style but the default everything works except the ability to post/reply or do any type of posting of any kind on the forums. Any idea of what I can do?

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
Hey so not sure if anyone is still reading this, but I had a question. I have been googling for like 2 days now and haven't found a solid answer. Anyways I am using the new bridge for phpbb3 and it works great. I had no issues at installing and making it work. I am obly using the visual side of it, but so far so good. My question, is there a total noob guide on how to change the theme? Also in my phpbb3 admin panel the styles tab is completely gone? Is that normal? Anyways thank you very much to anyone that can help me out!

Re: Mehdi's Bridge for Phpbb2 (not 3 yet ...)
Well I am not a complete noob when it comes to styles, and I do know alot about css and such. But I gotta tell you, this http://www.mehdiplugins.com/misc/cssintegrator.htm makes absolutely NO since!@
I love the bridge and it works great! But if you cannot change the style then it is useless..

raggy786 You forgot to do step number 4 you need to copy all the files in the folder "phpBB 3.07 PL1/hacked" to the root of your phpbb install.raggy786 wrote:Hi,
